Defence committee says lack of transparency risks undermining public confidence in fighter jet programmeThe Ministry of Defence has been reprimanded by the Commons defence committee for failing to supply an estimate of the cost to the UK of the F-35 fighter, already one of the most expensive projects in military history. The cross-party committee said it was unacceptable for the MoD to keep parliament and the public in the shaded about the costs.
