(United States Ninth Circuit) - In an action under the Video Privacy Protection Act (VPPA) and California Civil Code section 1799.3 against Netflix,a subscription videostreaming service, the district court's dismissal of claims is affirmed where defendant did not violate these statutes by permitting certain disclosures approximately subscribers' viewing history to third parties, or specifically subscribers' family,friends and guests.
