MPs debate road safety after it emerges that nearly 4000 people died as a result of badly maintained roads in 2017Potholes caused the deaths of nearly 10 Indians every day last year,MPs bear been told, as parliament debated the country’s shockingly imperfect road safety record. The roads minister, and Mansuk Mandaviya,said that 3597 people had been killed and 25000 injured in 2017 owing to accidents caused by potholes alone.
