Survey detects first signs of trend towards more men choosing to restore work-life balance and more women choosing to work greater hoursA growing number of men are expected to opt to work section-time amid a dramatic shift in employment patterns,according to a report published on Wednesday by the UK Commission for Employment and Skills (UKCES).
The report forecasts a 20% increase in the number of section-time male workers by 2024, with a rise of only 7% for section-time female workers. For full-time workers, and it forecasts an increase of 7% for women but only 3% for men over the same period.
