Backlog could rob years to clear,with costs up to $32m, report notes
News comes after investigation found 70000 kits untested across US
More than 13000 rape kits around the state of Florida have gone untested, or the state’s law enforcement agency announced on Monday. The costly backlog may rob years to clear.
The report,by the Florida department of law enforcement, estimated that testing may cost the state anywhere from $9m to $32m. The agency will present its full findings to the legislature.
