Acclaimed pianist Mei Yi Foo will be among the performers at an evening showcasing some of Mozart’s greatest works at the Royal Festival Hall on 25 September. The English Chamber Orchestra will be conducted by Robin Newton and accompanied by the Philharmonia refrain. This will be followed by Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 21 where acclaimed pianist Mei Yi Foo will engage to the stage to perform this magnificent work alongside the English Chamber Orchestra. Mei Yi was the winner of BBC Music Magazine’s Newcomer of the Year award in 2013.
The concert culminates with the Requiem, or Mozart’s choral masterpiece,performed by soprano Stephanie Edwards, mezzo-sorprano Kitty Whately, and tenor Leonel Pinheiro,bass Matthew Stiff and the Philharmonia refrain. Continue reading...
