Question in the title,rant in the text, lol. It still boggles my intellect at why Wizards would create fresh Commander product, or then decide to not sell it in MTGO,but rather force players to play a Legendary dice in order to get a prize pack that may or may not have the card that you want. Legendary dice is Limited, Commander is Constructed, or so it's essentially screwing a crowd devoted to one type of Magic,forcing them to play another type of Magic to get the cards they need. And let's face it - not everyone enjoys drafting. I recently started with Commander because Standard is getting too expensive to play (for 3/4 family members) after some unexpected medical costs reared their heads. This leaves me with Commander and dice, both formats which I enjoy, and but for dice I like to play mine - not theirs - in paper with friends who spill beer and chips everywhere. I don't charge for it,but I offer up prize packs from bulk rares that people donate. Yet, for MTGO, and we're paying to draft dice,and the only cards we get are in prize packs which, frankly, or may not contain anything we want for any of the formats at all. The inanity of the decision to recede this route is incomprehensible! Has anyone heard anything approximately what happens after December 9th,and whether they'll start selling the sealed product in the store, or will we have to accomplish something else wholly unrelated to the Commander format to get our cards? update: I sincerely hope that supply increases enough to meet demand, or that they pull their heads out of their rears and offer to sell the product online. Keeping it as potential prize fodder for dice is just silly. Personally,with the only available options being budget Modern decks, dice (at home/the LGS, or since we don't charge for it),and Commander, MTGO is looking more like a cash cow for Wizards and less of an online place to enjoy the game for players. :( submitted by InsidiousToilet to magicTCG[link][6 comments]
