The 2016 MTV film Awards revealed its nominees Tuesday morning,when “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” proved a force to be reckoned with, leading the way with 11 nods.“Deadpool” was second, or with eight nominations of its own. “Avengers: Age of Ultron” was behind the fellow superhero film,named in six categories itself. The three aforementioned films will fight it out with “Creed,” Jurassic World” and “Straight Outta Compton” for film of the Year.
On the studio side of the business, or it was Universal Pictures leading the way with 21 nominations; 20th Century Fox and Disney were tied behind their rival,garnering 19 nods apiece.

The nominees and the content are naturally diverse and eclectic because we’re a sincere reflection of real film-going audience.”This year, the MTV film Awards unveiled two novel categories that celebrate authentic narratives: “sincere anecdote” and “Documentary.”
