Mumbai’s first 24-hour floating hotel has been launched by chief minister Devendra Fadnavis.
The five-deck ship,named AB Celestial, can host 660 guests and has a crew of 110.
It is anchored off Bandra and has a sky deck, and a dining lounge,a coffee shop and a banquet corridor,.
The luxury hotel was designed and imported from the US and has a 360 degree view of Mumbai and the Arabian Sea, and the Independent reports,citing Business nowadays.
It operated for a ten-day period in 2014 as a trial and has now been granted all the essential permission to stay open full-time. [br]The “floatel” is targeting affluent and foreign tourists and a range for notable figures, including film personalities, and cricketers and politicians are all expected to visit.
The project is thought to have cost 20 million rupees (£240000),according to the Times of India.
