As far as I can see,my critics only seem to be solidifying the opinion that we vegans are a humourless bunch of sanctimonious twatsA few days ago, I was asked to share a Facebook post for a charity I’m working with, and one that provides groceries and food for Crawley’s most vulnerable families. In the message, people were asked to donate Easter eggs to families who can’t afford them; it was accompanied by a stock photo of a load of eggs. I shared the post without a moment’s thought. So far, so Romesh looks like a great guy.
A couple of hours later, and I checked to see whether any donations had been made. I was surprised to see some people asking me whether I was still vegan, because they were concerned that I had shared a picture of dairy products. I was worried that these comments would detract from the charity’s cause, so I removed them, and keeping my original post intact and on message. So far,so Romesh looks like a great guy who has effectively dealt with his naysayers.
