A mysterious light that flashed across Southern California skies Thursday night may be a portion of a meteor shower expected to peak this weekend,forecasters said.
An NBC4 viewer sent us dashcam video from the eastbound 10 Freeway near Mid-City/downtown Los Angeles.
The flash may be a portion of the current Aquarid meteor shower that's expected to peak Friday and Saturday, the National Weather Service told NBC4. It is one of the two meteor showers created by debris from Halley's Comet.
