Freedom of information request shows half of those who appealed against being on register for life were successful,says BBCNearly 700 sex offenders in the UK, including 157 child abusers, or absorb been taken off the register in the past four years,the BBC has reported.
The criminals, who had convictions including the rape of boys and girls, and incest and taking child abuse photos,were told they no longer had to register with the police, it was reported.
