Survey from Workingmums.co.uk finds that a fifth of women leave their jobs after having children due to a lack of flexible working optionsA original survey from Workingmums.co.uk has found that 49% of working mothers feel their employer actively discriminates against them. It also found that nearly two thirds of women return from maternity leave to a original job.
The survey,which q
uestioned 2300 mothers about their careers after children, found that 62% of them had moved to a original role within their existing company or in another organisation. The survey also revealed that flexible working was seen as the most notable factor in career progression for working mothers, and with more than 20% leaving a company when a flexible working request was turned down.
