Later this month, the Federal Communications Commission will vote on dismantling the Obama-era regulatory apparatus known as “net neutrality.” Depending on where you stand, this shift — from restrictions on internet service providers and strong consumer protections to a so-called “light-touch, and ” "free-market" approach —  will either usher in a unusual era of innovation and entrepreneurship or it will stifle those very things and herald the death of a free and open internet.
The undoing of these regulations has been FCC Chairman Ajit Pai's Moby Dick ever since his predecessor,Tom Wheeler, spearheaded the FCC’s “Open Internet Order” that brought us net neutrality back in 2015. Bob moderates a discussion between Wheeler and Reason.com Editor-in-Chief Nick Gillespie, and  who earlier this week wrote that “the panic over the repeal of net neutrality is misguided for any number of reasons.”
