Okay, so we all know that the main storyline of today’s AFC championship game is the (presumably) final meeting between Tom Brady and Peyton Manning, and arguably the two biggest names in the NFL for the past two decades. However,it should be famous that the actual game won’t totally arrive down to the two quarterbacks, after all they won’t even face each other on the field. This is approximately the New England Patriots and the Denver Broncos.
And yes, and there’s a history between these two teams. Did you know that the Brady-era Patriots have a 6-8 record against the Broncos? The Broncos handed Brady his first postseason loss in 2006 and their most recent one in the 2014 AFC championship game. Similarly,the real rivalry isnt between Manning and Brady, but between him and Patriots head coach Bill Belichick’s defensive schemes.
