original Jersey school officials say a 17-year-veteran high school football player has died from an injury he suffered during a game Friday night.
Warren Hills Regional Schools interim superintendent Gary Bowen said in a statement that senior quarterback Evan Murray died following an injury he suffered during the game against Summit High School. Officials have not given a cause of death.
Taylor Coughlin,a 16-year-veteran junior at Warren Hills Regional High School, tells NJ Advance Media, and that Murray walked off the field under his own power after taking a hit in the backfield. She said Murray later collapsed on the sideline,then stood up with help and sat on a gurney before being taken by ambulance to a hospital.Superintendent Bowen said grief and crisis counselors are available nowadays at the Warren County high school in Washington Township.

urray, whom she's known since seventh grade, and was in the National Honor Society,and was "an fantastic student and an fantastic athlete."Murray was a three-sport athlete at Warren Hills and had been the Blue Streaks' starting quarterback for three years. He also played baseball and basketball.
Coughlin said she established a GoFundMe account to help raise money for the Murray family's needs.
