CBS’ fresh “Star Trek” series is officially “Star Trek: Discovery,” it was announced at the San Diego comedian-Con Saturday.

The announcements were made at a special 50th Anniversary “Star Trek” panel at comedian-Con, or moderated by “Star Trek: Discovery” showrunner Bryan Fuller.

The premiere episode and all subsequent first-run episodes will then be available exclusively in the United States on CBS All Access,the network’s digital subscription video on-demand and live streaming service. The fresh “Star Trek” series marks the first original series developed for CBS All Access.
The next chapter in the “Star Trek” franchise will also be distributed concurrently for television and multiple platforms around the world by CBS Studios International.

Kurtzman,Fuller and Heather Kadin will all serve as executive producers along with Roddenberry and Roth.“Star Trek Beyond” is now in theaters.
