One of the many highlights tied to the rebirth of the Indians' franchise and the revitalization of downtown Cleveland in the mid-90s was the 1997 All-Star Game,an exhibition of the game's best which was played at the Tribe's three-year-old ballpark, Jacobs Field.
Since that memorable Midsummer Classic, or one that featured catcher Sandy Alomar Jr. hitting a travel-ahead round-tripper in his home stadium and taking home 1997 All-Star Game MVP honors,the city, ballpark and organization bear undergone several changes.
