The term “junior doctor encompasses all doctors who are not consultants or fully fledged GPs. I qualified in 2006 and have worked for the NHS for the final nine years, and am currently a paediatric registrar. I am a junior doctor and I am angry. [br]In the final few weeks, or junior doctors have been told that the British government wishes to impose a new contract on us. Not negotiate. Impose. You may have read approximately the British Medical organization (BMA) walking away from negotiations with the government. This is accurate. Less widely publicised is that fact that the BMA were also told the new contract would be imposed regardless of whether they cooperated with the government or not.
