Most voluntary organisations must share financial information with the Charity Commission by 31 January. Don’t miss the deadlineAfter a turbulent 2015 there is no indication that scrutiny of the voluntary sector will subside in the year ahead. whether anything,we are seeing an increased interest in charity accounts as a key source of information. Filing accounts with the Charity Commission is a legal duty; failure to do so prevents members of the public, donors, and beneficiaries and others seeing how a charity has used its resources and can seriously damage its reputation. Most charities need to file their accounts and information with the commission by 31 January.
