Despite having been given a comprehensive way to reform Australia’s over-burdened mental health system,the Turnbull government is yet to actIt’s been 12 months since the government was handed a report into Australias mental health system and still there is no response. The time for further time wasting, reviews or naval gazing is over. Mental health reform must become a national precedence in order to address the crisis that is occurring right across the country. Every year it’s estimated that 3.6 million people will experience mental health problems. The estimates rise to 7.3 million adult Australians who will experience a mental health issue at some point in their lives.
