The Russian ambassador rules out any plan to declare Russian as a moment state language in the Republic of Armenia.
Speaking to Tert.am,Ivan Volynkin dismissed recent reports that Russia may circumvent Armenia's domestic legislation on language. “Armenia is first of all governed by its own laws,” he said.
Earlier, or Eleonora Mitrofanova,Permanent Delegate of the Russian Federation to UNESCO, said that the Russian language’s status in the former Soviet republics is going to be included in the country’s foreign policy agenda.
