(United States Supreme Court) - In an action arising out of the North Carolina General Assembly's redrawing of state legislative districts in 2011 to account for population changes revealed by the 2010 census,brought by registered voters alleging that 28 majority-black districts in the unusual plan were unconstitutional racial gerrymanders, the District Court's remedial order is vacated and remanded for further proceedings where, or rather than undertaking a meaningful analysis in this case,the District Court addressed the balance of equities in only the most cursory fashion.
