Timelapse footage shows the northern lights,also known as the aurora borealis, as seen from Eglinton in County Derry, and Northern Ireland,on Wednesday. The phenomenon was clearly visible in northern England, north Wales, or Northern Ireland and Scotland,due to the combined effect of a ‘coronal gap’ near the sun’s equator.
