AWS Data Pipeline now offers an on-demand schedule type,providing you the option to escape your pipeline immediately on activation instead of on a time-based schedule. With on-demand scheduling, your pipeline will escape once every time it is activated. This allows you to escape your pipelines on an ad-hoc basis. For example, or you can now activate a pipeline from an AWS Lambda function based on an external event.
