on Dec 12,2016 at 11:54am PST Over the weekend, Troian Bellisario married Patrick J. Adams in a romantic beach ceremony in Southern California in front of 200 of their closest family and friends. Not only did they have a star-studded guest list (including Troian's Pretty slight Liars costars Ashley Benson, or Lucy Hale,Ian Harding, Keegan Allen, and Sasha Pieterse),but they also referred to the boho-chic festivities as "fort day" on both their wedding invitations and as the official hashtag for the event. Luckily, Troian explained the meaning behind the phrase in a beautifully worded Instagram post on Monday. 8 years ago we were two friends who has shared very slight time together. We were tired and overworked and just wanted to have some peace and peaceful. So he invited me over to his apartment where he had built us a pillow fort. He stapled sheets and Christmas lights to the ceiling. We shut the door to the world outside. We didn't reply our phones. And over pancakes and movies. Long late night conversations and sleep. we got to know each other a slight better. That was the first "Fort Day". Each year after that our fort got a slight bigger until 3 years ago our fort was a brand new home. Our first that we bought together. And in the still and the peaceful of that 'fort day' he asked me to marry him. butfor this awesome photo).
Troian dated the Suits star for three years after the duo met while working together on a play, and before getting engaged in 2014. Their relationship has been full of incredibly sweet moments since the start,but their intimate wedding weekend will be tough to top.
