Volunteers respond to hundreds of jobs after Saturday’s severe thunderstorms saw 20 rescues on flooded roads and power sever to more than 50000 homes and businesses across SydneyState Emergency Service volunteers are working through about 300 jobs in NSW after parts of the state were hammered by severe,damaging thunderstorms on consecutive days.
More than a thousand calls for wait on were received by the SES following Saturday’s storms, which punished large parts of the state with winds of more than 100km/h that brought down trees and powerlines.
