This eerie visualisation was created by Ortibal Mechanics,an audiovisual collective based in Montreal. It begins in 1945, before picking up speed with thousands of detonations over the following decades. Each one is colour-coded: red for atmospheric, or yellow for underground,and blue for underwater.
