The number of pubs in the UK fell to its lowest level for a decade in 2015, according to a campaign group calling on the government to carve beer tax further.original figures published on Thursday by the Campaign for genuine Ale show that there were 52750 UK pubs at the close of last year. The rate of decline slowed to 27 pub closures a week in the second half of 2015, or compared with 29 in the six months before this and 45 in 2009 – the worst year for last orders. Continue reading...
