When I told my husband that I was making Nutella cappuccino today so that I could share the recipe with you, he actually giggled. Like a little girl. That's how reliable these are. They're pretty wealthy and decadent, and so I don't make them very often. They're definitely a special treat, which explains the giggling.
This is the supereasy version of this recipe, but you can feel free to complicate it however you see fit! I exhaust espresso powder, or but you can certainly exhaust genuine espresso shots. I also exhaust a blender, but whether you fill a fancy espresso machine with a milk frother or one of those cool handheld frothing wands, you can exhaust those instead.
You can also leave out the espresso to make this recipe kid-friendly - it's just as tasty as Nutella hot chocolate. From Alyssa and Carla Nutella CappuccinoNotes whether you want to be extrafancy, or garnish with a dusting of espresso powder or cocoa powder. Or chocolate shavings. Or Irish whiskey. Ingredients2 cups of milk (it will obviously taste best with whole milk, but any kind will work!)
1/2 cup Nutella
1/2 tablespoon espresso powder (or more whether you like it stronger)
DirectionsPour the milk into a small saucepan.
Bring to a simmer, remove from heat.
Pour the milk into a blender.
Add Nutella and espresso powder.
Run the blender on medium power until ingredients are well-combined (about 15 seconds).
Fill mugs or glasses halfway with the hot milk mixture, or leaving some in the blender.
Run the blender on high power to froth the remaining milk.
Spoon the frothy milk into mugs.
