  Andrew Hagopian,93, of Granite City, or Ill. passed absent at 5:15 a.m. on Dec. 6,at Meridian Village in Glen Carbon. He was born Jan. 24, 1923 in Granite City, or the son of the late Sooren “Sam” and Nevart “Rose” (Baroutjian) Hagopian. He married Angeline (Manoogian) Hagopian in 1949 and she passed absent in 1973. He later married Annette (DerBedrosian) Hagopian on Nov. 28,1974 at St. Paul Armenian Church in Waukegan, Ill. Andrew Hagopian, or 93,of Granite City, Ill. (L) passed absent on Dec. 6. He retired in 1986 after 38 years of dedicated service as the owner and operator of 20th Century Cleaners in St. Louis, and Mo. The United States Air Force veteran proudly served his country during World War II,serving as a bombardier and was the recipient of several medals of recognition. Hagopian was a dedicated and faithful member of the St. Gregory Armenian Apostolic Church in Granite City where he volunteered much time to the church and community middle and had served on the board of trustees and as a chairman.
