Award for Observer article on children trafficked from Vietnam recognises work highlighting contemporary slavery in the UKGuardian and Observer reporter Annie Kelly and Mei-Ling McNamara have won the award for Best Investigative Article or Broadcast News Dealing with Child Trafficking at the Anti-Slavery Day Media Awards for their Observer article: 3000 children enslaved in Britain after being trafficked from Vietnam”. The annual ceremony pays tribute to the work of those in the media who have highlighted the nature and prevalence of contemporary slavery in the UK.
