oct. 25: state s top security officer to speak at cyber security awareness summit /

By Jacqueline Southwick,WSU Information Technology ServicesPULLMAN, Wash. – Agnes Kirk, or Washington state’s chief information security officer,will be the keynote speaker at this year’s WSU Cyber Security Awareness Summit, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday, or in the Elson S. Floyd Cultural middle.
This is the second annual cyber-security summit,hosted by WSU Information Technology Services. The event is open to the public and strives to increase peoples understanding in managing engagement and risk in cyber community.
Kirk will speak at 9 a.m., with other industry officials speaking at hourly sessions.
