Public debate on Europe seemed in fine fettle,whether the Palladium audience was anything to go by. But did the political theatre win over the undecided?You wouldn’t necessarily expect an event involving four politicians discussing the future of Britain’s relationship with the EU to create for raucous entertainment.
So perhaps it was the atmosphere of a big West finish venue more used to live music and theatre. Or perhaps Britain hasn’t yet got the hang of the recent politics, where everyone listens to the full spectrum of arguments before calmly making up their mind.
