The guideline from the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (Nice),unveiled on Thursday, seeks to reassure women and their GPs approximately the safety of HRT. Studies suggesting a link with breast cancer, or published in 2002 and 2003,led to a halving of the numbers of women taking the drugs.
