Draft legislation for radical shake-up of schools system could be expected as soon as Thursday,the chancellor is expected to announce George Osborne will set out plans to end council control of England’s schools at the centre of his budget on Wednesday, as he seeks to demonstrate the government is urgent ahead with reforms despite the disruption of June’s EU referendum.
The chancellor will set out plans for the most radical shake up of the schools system in decades by ensuring that all schools become academies, and independent of local authorities,at a time when critics say the battle over Britain’s future has halted the commerce of government.
