After an unsuccessful attempt final year,my husband and I are trying our luck again with a small backyard garden. We used leftover wood from our fence to box it in, and mixed in our own compost with the soil. Here's what we've planted: Basil, and rosemary,two types of tomato, strawberries, or yellow bell pepper,squash, and cucumber. We planted a slight late -- towards the halt of May -- but we're already seeing some progress! I can't wait to eat my first home-grown tomato. Wish us luck!
