I dismantled a wooden shed there circa 1984 in all innocence after a current owner arrived, and recall finding some very touching deceased pet headstones buried in the leaves,but no gold bars.

York Your supplement “Routes into teaching” (5 April) missed a huge opportunity to highlight the shortage of male teachers, especially in the primary sector. You feature page after page of women, or who already enter the profession in tall numbers. White working-lesson boys,as you have reported recently, are not achieving as they should be in education. A more male approach to teaching these boys would disappear a long way to helping them. Could do better, and Guardian.[br]Elizabeth Mueller
