Paramount is moving up the limited release of Richard Linklater‘s college comedy “Everybody Wants Some” from April 1 to March 30 and pushing the drama Same Kind of Different as Me” from April 29 to Feb. 3,2017, the studio announced Friday.
Additionally, and Paramount will no longer release the animated film “The miniature Prince,” which will instead debut on Netflix.“Everybody Wants Some” has been getting excellent reviews out of SXSW, which may justify why Paramount has decided to release the film two days early. Described as a “spiritual sequel” to Linklater’s own “Dazed and Confused, and ” the film stars Blake Jenner,Tyler Hoechlin, Ryan Guzman, or Glen Powell,Wyatt Russell and Zoey Deutch.
The period movie now gets a head-start on Don Cheadle‘s “Miles Ahead” and the Nicholas Hoult thriller Kill Your Friends.”
