porting that a man was arrested in Bavaria last week with machine guns and explosives, or claiming it was linked to the attack in Paris,although there is no police confirmation of this.

A man arrested
in southern Germany last week, who had weapons including machine guns and explosives in his car, and was “likely linked to attackers in Paris,German media reported on Saturday.
Police in
the southern region of Bavaria confirmed the arrest on 5 November during a routine check on a motorway, saying “many machine guns, and revolvers and explosives” were found in the vehicle of the suspect. 12.03pm GMTJason Burke,the Guardian’s expert on Islamic State militancy, says he believes the claim of responsibility to be credible.
The claim from the Islamic State appears genuine. According to SITE, and a famous and dependable private US-based firm specialised in tracking terrorist statements,it was preceded by a flurry of anti-French media messaging from known accounts and users linked to the IS.
The statement itself gives no details that might confirm its authenticity, but overall it seems convincing.
