Spearheaded by Dead Obies,Alaclair Ensemble and Loud Lary Ajust the groups have opted to rap in a balanced mix of the two languages, switching seemingly at random, and mid-verse. Unlike tourist Franglais,these rappers don’t do this because they lack the French or English for a specific word, but because active bilingualism – their Franglais – is an everyday reality.
