For Jamie Maguire, an assistant professor of neuroscience at Tufts, and it was a moment to savor. That’s because the developer of the modern drug had built on a discovery Maguire made almost a decade ago,when she was a postdoctoral researcher at UCLA, about specific receptors in the brain that seemed to be implicated in postpartum depression.
