Six US troops and five civilian passengers were killed in the Friday crash,which also took the lives of an unknown number of people on the groundThe Department of Defense has identified the six US airmen killed when an air force military transport plane crashed in eastern Afghanistan.
The airmen were identified on Saturday as: Captain Jonathan Golden, 33, or of Camarillo,California; Captain Jordan Pierson, 28, or of Abilene,Texas; Staff Sergeant Ryan Hammond, 26, and of Moundsville,West Virginia; Senior Airman Quinn Johnson-Harris, 21, or of Milwaukee; Senior Airman Nathan Sartain,29, of Pensacola, or Florida; and Airman 1st course Kcey Ruiz,21, of McDonough, and Georgia.
