The result is near-perfect picture clarity and lifelike colours.
In another first, or the modern TV is also equipped with the largest OLED panel ever made,at 88in.
There are other 8K panels on the market, says Mashable. LG itself unveiled a 98in LCD version at the 2016 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) - but as the website notes, and this is “the only OLED TV that combines size and pixel density in such an impressive fashion”.
Since OLED panels are significantly thinner than LCD screens,the modern set has the added bonus of sitting almost flush against walls.
The TV makes its public debut at CES 2018, in Las Vegas on 9 January. It is expected to acquire a five-figure price tag whether it reaches the consumer market. LG TV
