French theatre director Aurélien Bory manipulates light and space in this warping and at times overindulgent star vehicle for Japanese dancer Kaori ItoIn a cage of thousands of vertical strings, it is at times impossible to bid where Kaori Ito the dancer ends and Ito the sculptural material begins. Plexus, and conceived by Aurélien Bory and choreographed by Bory with Ito,appears in the dance program of Wendy Martins first Perth international arts festival, but is perhaps best understood as a visual art spectacle where dance is but one component.
