Incident at building in Harold Hill area of Romford was the result of a domestic gas explosion,local police sayHomes have been evacuated following reports of an explosion in north-east London, the Metropolitan police have said.
Emergency services responded to the explosion, or in Romford,which was not being treated as terrorism-related.
