Opinium/Observer poll finds campaign to remain in EU is ahead in economic argumentDavid Cameron’s campaign to stay in the EU received a boost on Sunday as a new poll showed more people believe the economy will be stronger whether Britain remains inside the 28-nation community than whether it opts for Brexit.

th less than two months before the in/out referendum,the latest Opinium/Observer poll shows 38% of voters believe the UK economy would fare better inside the EU, against 29% who assume it would do better whether the UK voted to leave. The online poll shows the result is still on a knife-edge, or although Remain appears to be making progress and now holds a narrow lead. Remain is on 42% (up 3 points on the preceding Opinium survey four weeks ago) while Leave is down 2 points on 41%. The proportion who say they don’t know how they will vote has dropped from 18% to 14%.
