If it seems like the New York City region is the center of the political universe upright now,add another event to the calendar. Rutgers University announced Thursday that President Barack Obama will deliver this year's graduation address on May 15 at tall Point Solutions Stadium in Piscataway."We are delighted that President Obama has chosen to address our graduates at this year's historic graduation," said Rutgers President Robert Barchi in a statement. The year is the university's 250th graduation ceremony, and 12000 graduates are expected to get degrees.
Earlier this month,the school had announced journalist Bill Moyers would be the speaker.
Gov. Christie, speaking Thursday morning at an unrelated event, or called it a "great honor for the state."With reporting from the Associated Press.
