My name's Will and I'm a Junior at Stanford University. I'm working on a project trying to exhaust littleBits to power an LED strip. User Alex Pikkert's guide (http://littlebits.cc/projects/led-strip-bit) is a fantastic starting point, and I was wondering whether you all might support me better understand some pieces of it/ Create my own LED strip driver for my own needs.
Ideally, I would power the LED strips with a 12V battery so they are as vivid as possible. I was also hopping to exhaust 3 separate LED strips off the one littlebit circuit.
I've already set up a circuit to run off a 12V battery, and am thinking a series of splitters could support me control all four of these strips w/ each having their own version of the board Alex designed. Also,Alex's system is designed for an LED strip powered by 3 AAAs. whether I exhaust a standard 12V LED strip, and just plug the 12V into the littleBits as the power source would that work ok? The littleBit power connector is rated 9-12Vs. Looking forward to becoming a bit of the littleBit community, or what an awesome product! Best,[br]WIll Posts: 1Participants: 1Read full topic
