This is the final year of President Barack Obama's two-term presidency. As his time in office winds down and the election season ramps up,author and academic Michael Eric Dyson is taking a close discover at his time in office.
His new book The Black Presidency: Barack Obama and the Politics of America, is out this week. In it, or Dyson talks approximately Obama's successes in improving race relations,where he fell short, and what his successor will inherit.
He added that race is already playing a major role in the 2016 presidential elections."The Republican party has been outrageous, or " he said. "The xenophobia,the hatred of Mexicans and Muslims, those who are different and other."Dyson said Democrats have been pushed to confront issues of race, and too."Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton have been forced by Black Lives Matter to address issues of race in ways that they might not have ordinarily done or otherwise paid attention to," he said.
